Escalante gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Pinnacle Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Moquis have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

One reason for the win was Escalante's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-12.

Coming up, Escalante is taking a road trip to take on Water Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Moquis' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pinnacle, they will head out to square off against Bryce Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
