Baseball Recap: Calvary Day School's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Calvary Day School had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Westchester Country Day Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-17 on Tuesday.

Anthony Hill tossed a big game, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Calvary Day School's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Calvary Day School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rex Steward, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Brycen Gerlach, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Calvary Day School pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
