Football Recap: Burlington Falls Short of Duxbury in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Burlington couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Duxbury Dragons on Friday, falling 38-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since October 24, 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burlington fell to 9-1. As for Duxbury, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Burlington and Duxbury will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Red Devils see the field they'll take on Bedford at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Duxbury, their break will end when they face Marshfield at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
