Elmira won the last time they faced Johnson City and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Express blew past the Wildcats 16-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Express.

Aedan Palmer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Nolan Edwards was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Demember, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Elmira's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Johnson City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elmira will challenge Binghamton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnson City, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Corning-Painted Post West at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
