Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Day Cavaliers vs. Beach Bulldogs

The Calvary Day Cavaliers will venture away from home to challenge the Beach Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Beach likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Calvary Day was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 69-64 to Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Meanwhile, Beach came up short against Brunswick on Saturday and fell 65-55. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Pirates are ranked 41st).

Beach dropped their record down to 7-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Calvary Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Calvary Day barely slipped by Beach when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 50-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Day since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
