Basketball Recap: Dadeville Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Dadeville won the last time they faced Golden City and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dadeville Bearcats strolled past the Golden City Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 75-58.

When it comes to explaining why Golden City lost, don't look at Jamison Menadue. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points and three steals. The contest was Menadue's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Hughes, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Dadeville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Golden City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dadeville Bearcats challenge the Halfway Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Halfway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Dadeville likes a good challenge. As for Golden City, they will host Jasper at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
