Newport Central Catholic never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Calvary Christian on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 19-11 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Thoroughbreds have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Newport Central Catholic back to even at 4-4. As for Dayton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Dayton came out on top in a nail-biter against Newport Central Catholic when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 10-8. Do the Greendevils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thoroughbreds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
