Football Game Preview: Lenoir City Panthers vs. Soddy Daisy Trojans + Official Tickets

The Lenoir City Panthers will square off against the Soddy Daisy Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lenoir City has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 22.

On Friday, Lenoir City came up short against Ooltewah and fell 35-28. While the Panthers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Owls 7-0.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Trea Jones, who rushed for 179 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Jay, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-7, which was the final score in Soddy Daisy's tilt against East Hamilton on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost four in a row.

Lenoir City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Soddy Daisy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Lenoir City was dealt a bruising 56-23 loss at the hands of Soddy Daisy in their previous meeting back in September of 2020. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 28-2.
