Soccer Recap: Mount Tahoma Takes a Loss

Mount Tahoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Gig Harbor Tides, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Mount Tahoma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Gig Harbor are ranked 31st).

Mount Tahoma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Gig Harbor, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Tahoma will welcome Silas at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gig Harbor, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. Central Kitsap's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Gig Harbor's offense will have their work cut out for them.
