It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Albuquerque Academy can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the St. Pius X Sartans on Friday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Kiara Brown paced Albuquerque Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Brown got some help from Rowan M Jaime and her 13 assists. Brown also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ruby Winham, each putting up two.

Maya Perea had a dynamite game For St. Pius X., getting 19 digs and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave Perea a new career-high.

Albuquerque Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for St. Pius X, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.
