Racine Lutheran extends road losing streak to five

This season hasn't been kind to the Racine Lutheran Crusaders, who are still winless after their 13th match. They took a serious blow against Racine Park on Thursday, falling 54-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Racine Lutheran has suffered since December 1, 2023.

Racine Park found their leader in underclassman Addison Betker, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Betker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jenna Quirk, who scored eight points along with three steals and two blocks.

Racine Lutheran's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-13. As for Racine Park, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Racine Lutheran and St. Thomas More will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Thomas More presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Racine Lutheran in Wisconsin (St. Thomas More is ranked 113th, while Racine Lutheran is ranked 426th). As for Racine Park, they will play host again and welcome Indian Trail, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
