Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tilah Perez and Kaitlyn Smith Lead Lone Star to Victory

Lone Star won the last time they faced North Garland and things went their way on Friday too. The Rangers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Lone Star was led to victory by Kaitlyn Smith and Tilah Perez. Smith had 17 assists and three digs, while Perez had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Perez a new career-high.

Lone Star's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Lone Star and North Garland will both be playing Plano the next time they take the court. The Raiders will head out to face the Wildcats at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, while the Rangers will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
