Soccer Recap: Out-Of-Door Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Out-of-Door Academy walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Keswick Christian Crusaders 2-1. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Crusaders are ranked 282nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Thomas Mesia was the driving force of Out-of-Door Academy's attack as he scored both of Out-of-Door Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to 20 goals.

Out-of-Door Academy's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those nine contests. As for Keswick Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Coming up, Out-of-Door Academy will challenge Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canterbury will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Out-of-Door Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Keswick Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
