Basketball Recap: Mason County Eastern Comes Up Short

If Mason County Eastern was riding high fresh off their 62-16 takedown of Crossroads Charter Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mason County Eastern Cardinals lost 73-52 to the Mesick Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 61-54.

Issac Stroh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mesick, putting up 30 points. Stroh has become a key player for Mesick: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 2-10 otherwise. Jackson Abraham was another key player, posting 13 points.

Mason County Eastern has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Mesick, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Mason County Eastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-30 loss against Baldwin on the 6th. As for Mesick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-26 victory against Walkerville on the 6th.
