Basketball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mankato East Cougars, falling 88-64. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Cougars are ranked eighth).

Century's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Mankato East, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing John Marshall the next time they take the court. Mankato East will head out to face John Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Century will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
