Soccer Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington and Royal squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Washington had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Royal Falcons. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Royal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Washington nor Royal have any future games scheduled.
