Basketball Recap: Elfers Christian Takes a Loss

Elfers Christian lost against Classical Prep last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Elfers Christian Eagles were outmatched by the Classical Prep Lions and fell 38-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaelyn Malloy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Classical Prep, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, Malloy is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Haley Zimmerman, who posted eight points along with seven steals and five rebounds.

Elfers Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Classical Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Elfers Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Classical Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-39 victory against Riverside Christian on the 17th.
