            Football Recap: University Trojans vs. Woodbridge Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            University fought the good fight in their overtime  matchup against Woodbridge  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Warriors were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered  a  37-36 defeat. Even if the Trojans couldn't come away with the  victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.
 University lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Dylan Elmer, who threw for 229 yards and four  TDs.  Lucca Clouthier also helped with two scores in total.
  Kayjahn Pitts went supernova For Woodbridge., rushing for 200 yards and four  touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 39 receiving yards. Those  200  rushing yards gave  Pitts a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Waylon Stone, who rushed for 95 yards and one  TD.
University's loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Woodbridge,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will host Katella  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.89  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woodbridge, they will be playing at home against Buena Park  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
