Basketball Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. South Sevier Rams

The Beaver Beavers will take on the South Sevier Rams at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Beaver is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Enterprise 52-23. The victory was familiar territory for the Beavers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Meanwhile, South Sevier came tearing into Friday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Wolves, posting a 60-21 win. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Wolves are ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Sevier's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points over those games. As for Beaver, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Beaver came up short against South Sevier when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 49-44. Can Beaver avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
