Basketball Game Preview: Altha Wildcats vs. Sneads Pirates

The Altha Wildcats will face off against the Sneads Pirates on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Altha is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against North Bay Haven Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Altha took a blow against North Bay Haven Academy, falling 41-3. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sneads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 51-9 loss at the hands of Graceville. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Tigers are ranked 142nd).

Altha's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Sneads, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Altha beat Sneads 45-33 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Altha have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sneads turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
