Football Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Howells-Dodge Jaguars

Lawrence-Nelson had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Howells-Dodge Jaguars on Friday, falling 36-8. The Raiders were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Wyatt Frey rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown. Caden Culbertson was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

Oliver Belina went supernova for Howells-Dodge, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Howells-Dodge also got a significant boost from Hunter Luther, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence-Nelson will venture away from home to square off against Blue Hill on Friday. As for Howells-Dodge, they will head out to face off against Clarkson/Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
