While Northport put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Copiague. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 two weeks ago.

Northport got a great performance from Shannon Gloeckner as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Addison Acerra was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Abby Abbatiello was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Northport's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Copiague, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Copiague will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lindenhurst at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Northport will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' match: after the Eagles faces off against Huntington, they'll take on Northport again at 5:15 p.m. on May 6.
