Basketball Recap: Mohonasen Takes a Loss

Mohonasen lost against Troy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mohonasen Warriors took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Flying Horses. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Flying Horses are ranked 181st).

Mohonasen has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Troy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mohonasen will square off against Tamarac at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Troy, they will face off against Schenectady at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Troy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
