Recap: Jackson Red Devils vs. Peach County Trojans
The Jackson Red Devils suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 61-41 loss to Peach County might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Jackson has suffered against Peach County since January 24, 2020.
Jackson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaden Roberts, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Josh Goodrum who scored 11 points along with two steals. Goodrum is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.
Jackson's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-15. As for Peach County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will square off against Mary Persons at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Mary Persons focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Tuesday. As for Peach County, they will head out on the road to square off against Perry at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
