Mishawaka Marian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Michigan City a 7-0 shutout. Given Mishawaka Marian's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Michigan City are ranked 223rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Bend Adams hasn't lost a match since August 26th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Plymouth. The win continues a trend for South Bend Adams in their matchups with Plymouth: they've now won three in a row.

South Bend Adams' victory bumped their record up to 13-2-2. As for Mishawaka Marian, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-2.
