Woodstock had won five straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 9-18 to make it six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Round Lake Panthers a 6-0 shutout. The Blue Streaks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

As for Round Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

For Round Lake's part, Piper Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. Berry has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Woodstock will have a chance to go back-to-back against Round Lake: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
