Volleyball Recap: Sussex Academy Comes Up Short

Sussex Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Dover Senators, falling 3-0. If the Seahawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Senators when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Sussex Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-10.

Sussex Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Sussex Academy will be playing at home against Caesar Rodney at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Riders will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dover, they will square off against Wilmington Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
