Highland has gone 10-0 against Queen Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Highland Hawks will get right back to it and host the Queen Creek Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Highland's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Queen Creek has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Thursday, Highland didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tucson High Magnet School, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Queen Creek). They strolled past Corona del Sol with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-45. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 56-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Aztecs cut but never quite recovered from.

Queen Creek found their leader in freshman Amaya Rodgers, who posted 23 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rodgers has scored at least a third of Queen Creek's points. Jasmine Kraus was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Queen Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Highland, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.

Everything came up roses for Highland against Queen Creek in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-19 victory. Does Highland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Queen Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
