After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Forbush, South Stokes was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sauras also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-16, 25-13.

Olivia Amos paced South Stokes' offense, picking up eight kills. Amos really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Ellie Parker controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

South Stokes is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, South Stokes is taking a road trip to challenge North Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they will welcome North Wilkes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
