Football Recap: Santiago Celedonio's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fontana over Rialto

Fontana made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rialto, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Steelers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 19-16 on Friday. The matchup marked the Steelers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fontana lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Santiago Celedonio, who picked up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 55 yards. Fontana also got help from Akari Augustine, who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rialto to victory, but perhaps none more so than Geonie Seeney, who rushed for 103 yards on only 13 carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Fontana and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Rialto, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Fontana wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 26-12 victory against Notre Dame on the 9th. As for Rialto, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-6 win against Arroyo Valley on the 9th.
