Football Game Preview: Woodland Wildcats vs. Allatoona Buccaneers + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Solomon James and Ethan Corpus are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Woodland Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Allatoona Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Woodland is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Cass on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats were dealt a 55-9 loss at the hands of the Colonels. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Colonels are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Allatoona came up short against Dalton last Friday and fell 44-35.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Allatoona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Woodland lost to Allatoona on the road by a decisive 17-0 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Buccaneers' Xavier Rucker, who rushed for 149 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
