Baseball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

Russell County lost against Northside back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Russell County Warriors took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside Patriots. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Russell County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Brewer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Shane Otipoby was another, getting no hits from his two at bats.

Russell County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Northside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Russell County will face off against Smiths Station at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside, they will square off against Mundy's Mill at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
