Basketball Recap: North Adams Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

North Adams entered their tilt with West Union on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the West Union Dragons 62-43. Given the Green Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Dragons are ranked 525th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Union's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Lewis, who posted nine points and seven boards. Lewis continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Stout, who had eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

North Adams pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for West Union, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

North Adams has already played their next contest, a 52-42 defeat against Ironton on the 8th. As for West Union, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chesapeake at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
