Softball Game Preview: Prosser Falcons vs. Von Steuben Panthers

For the second straight game, Prosser will face off against Von Steuben. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Prosser has given up an average of 16.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Prosser came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-12 to Von Steuben.

For Von Steuben's part, Leah Escalante was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Escalante a new career-high. Jeylanie Burgos was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Von Steuben kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

With the win, Von Steuben broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Prosser, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
