Lisbon hasn't had much luck against Hall-Dale recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Greyhounds will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Lisbon has four wins , while Hall-Dale has 11 dating back to last season).
Lisbon will bounce into Friday's game after beating Sacopee Valley, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Greyhounds walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Hawks on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Greyhounds have won by exactly three runs.

Mackenzie Eaton made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Lisbon let Sophia Bowie and Aubriana Bright run wild. Bowie got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one triple, while Bright went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. That triple was Bowie's first of the season. Brook Norman was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Lisbon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Hall-Dale blew past Madison 16-2. 16 seems to be a good number for Hall-Dale as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Lucy Gray made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Gray was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Torie Tibbetts was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Claire Kapinos, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Hall-Dale pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 10.9 runs thus far. As for Lisbon, their record now sits at 4-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lisbon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hall-Dale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lisbon came out on top in a nail-biter against Hall-Dale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
