Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Providence Classical's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Walnut Grove Christian came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Providence Classical, but Grafton Eiff wouldn't allow it. The Paladins came out on top against the Christian Warriors by a score of 63-50 on Thursday for which the team can thank Eiff, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten assists. Providence Classical is undefeated when Eiff posts 15 or more points, but 2-5 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Mitchell, who posted ten points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games he's played.

Several Christian Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Bonagura, who scored 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ian Choate, who put up 11 points and five boards.

Providence Classical is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Providence Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-32 loss against Buford on the 30th. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they will take on UR Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th.
