Minneola beats Dighton for their eighth straight win

Recap: Minneola Wildcats vs. Dighton Hornets

The Minneola Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They claimed a resounding 100-64 win over Dighton at home. The result was nothing new for Minneola, who have now won seven matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Eli Lang continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 255 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry, and also throwing for 219 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Lang was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. James Littlewood was another key contributor, rushing for 183 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Minneola's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Allen Skeen and his three sacks.

Despite the loss, Dighton still got an impressive performance from Daniel Cramer, who rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of George Vonleonrod, who gained 79 total yards and three touchdowns.

Minneola's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Dighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Minneola will be playing at home against St. John at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. John is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Dighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Kinsley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
