Softball Recap: South Central Satellites vs. Hebron Hawks
South Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Hebron Hawks. For the Satellites, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
Lexi Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brooke Perriera was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Cavinder, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
