Soccer Game Preview: Spring Hill vs. Kilgore

Spring Hill is 1-9 against Kilgore since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Spring Hill Panthers will challenge the Kilgore Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Spring Hill sitting on six straight victories and Kilgore on eight.

Spring Hill's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Center 4-0. Considering the Panthers have won nine games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Kilgore beat Sabine 3-1 on Friday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Cardinals are ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kilgore pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those six matches. As for Spring Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Spring Hill suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Kilgore in their previous meeting back in January. Can Spring Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
