Volleyball Recap: Southlands Christian's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Southlands Christian was the 2-0 winner over Rio Hondo Prep when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Kares by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Southlands Christian actually scored more points across those three sets (58-53), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 13-25, 15-12.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southlands Christian fell to 3-1. As for Rio Hondo Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southlands Christian will welcome Nogales at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will square off against Heritage Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
