Flag Football Recap: Appling County Takes a Loss

Appling County lost against Telfair County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates took a 19-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Trojans are ranked 15th).

This is the second loss in a row for Appling County and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Telfair County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Appling County will welcome Emanuel County Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Telfair County, they will head out to challenge Southwest at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
