Basketball Recap: Jimtown's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jimtown took a 35-point loss the last time they faced off against NorthWood, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. It was close, but the Jimmies ultimately received the gift of a 49-47 victory from a begrudging Jimmies squad. The 49-point effort marked their lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jimtown found their leader in sophomore Zander Whitaker, who shot 82% from the field on his way to 24 points. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for Whitaker. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Woolwine, who posted ten points.

The win (which was Jimtown's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. As for NorthWood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Jimtown will head out on the road to square off against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for NorthWood, they will be home for the holidays to greet Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
