Charlotte waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Braden River Pirates. This was payback for the Fightin' Tarpons, who suffered a 5-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Braxton Taylor and Marcelo Gomez scored all three of Charlotte's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Charlotte pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four contests. As for Braden River, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
