Basketball Game Preview: Navarro Panthers vs. Canyon Lake

The Navarro Panthers will take on Canyon Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-32, which was the final score in Navarro's tilt against Davenport on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Canyon Lake played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Wimberley, falling 86-57. While losing is never fun, Canyon Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 646th, while Wimberley is ranked 278th).

Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Canyon Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.
