Cedar Creek barely beat Oakcrest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over the Falcons. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pirates' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Falcons are ranked 179th).

Cedar Creek's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points over those games. As for Oakcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek will host Lower Cape May on Thursday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Oakcrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasantville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds' defense has only allowed 10.5 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
