Soccer Recap: Island Coast Victorious

Island Coast's game back in December of 2024 was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Island Coast Gators who were credited with the victory. The win was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Island Coast's victory bumped their record up to 2-12-1. As for East Lee County, they dropped their record down to 2-11-1 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Island Coast will be taking part in a tournament against South Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Island Coast's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for East Lee County, they will be playing at home against Moore Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Lee County is facing Moore Haven at the right time seeing as Moore Haven is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
