Softball Recap: French Settlement Victorious

French Settlement won against Central Private on Saturday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand the Holden Rockets a 12-0 shutout. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

French Settlement let Kenna Miles and Dani Delhommer run wild. Miles went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Delhommer went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Delhommer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Gautreau, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

French Settlement now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Holden, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, French Settlement will venture away from home to take on Maurepas at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holden, they are taking a road trip to square off against Berwick at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
