Volleyball Game Preview: Kankakee Kays vs. Crete-Monee Warriors

The Kankakee Kays will face off against the Crete-Monee Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Kankakee came up short against Bremen and fell 2-0.

Kankakee was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Crete-Monee earned a 2-0 win over Thornridge on Tuesday.

Crete-Monee easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17.

Crete-Monee's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Kankakee, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Kankakee couldn't quite get it done against Crete-Monee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Kays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
