Softball Recap: Rancho San Juan Comes Up Short

Rancho San Juan couldn't beat Soledad on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Trailblazers lost 16-6 to the Aztecs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trailblazers of the 13-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Delylah Magdaleno made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Garcia, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Rancho San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Soledad, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

While Rancho San Juan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
