Crawfordsville comes up short despite Ethan McLemore's strong performance

The Crawfordsville Athenians struggled with assists on Tuesday (the McCutcheon Mavericks had 17 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Crawfordsville took a serious blow against McCutcheon, falling 71-36. Crawfordsville has struggled against McCutcheon recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Crawfordsville still got an impressive performance from Ethan McLemore, who scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McLemore has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaden Patton, who scored six points along with two steals.

It was another big night for Owen Souligne, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 4 assists for McCutcheon. Souligne is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Isaac Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals and two blocks.

Crawfordsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for McCutcheon, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.

Crawfordsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-39 defeat vs. Tri-West Hendricks on the 9th. McCutcheon has also already played their next match, a 73-55 loss against Marion on the 9th.
